Jill Clark is the director for The Center for Farmland Policy Innovation. The Center is designed to match local farmland protection goals with needed resources. Through these local-state partnerships, the Center provides model farmland protection strategies for Ohio communities and other interested partners. Jill Clark also manages the Exurban Change Project and works on Retail Market Analysis. The goal of the Exurban Change Project is to analyze patterns and trends in Ohio's rural-urban interface areas. She works on related rural land-use policy and planning issues. Ohio communities participating in Retail Market Analysis seek to answer questions about the relative supply and demand of retail goods within a local market area. Prior to joining the Department in November 2002, Clark managed American Farmland Trust's Ohio Field Office for three years. American Farmland Trust is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to farmland protection. She also spent three years conducting research at the University of Wisconsin's Program on Agricultural Technology Studies and the Wisconsin Land Use Research Program. | ||||||
